The Ladies’ Pavilion is one of our most popular locations in Central Park for an elopement or destination wedding. It’s a covered pavilion that provides protection from sun, rain or snow. It is a beautiful cast-iron structure by the Lake that dates back to 1871 when it served as a shelter for trolley passengers at the 8th Avenue and 59th Street park entrance (it was moved to the Lake location in the early 1900s). The Ladies Pavilion includes a beautiful backdrop of the lake and the NYC skyline, which is picturesque for wedding photos. It offers nice privacy because of the structure itself and has 2 benches for seating.
